August 2011 Favorites

1. Silk Elements MegaSilk Shampoo & Conditioner

 These give slip like its nobody's business and my hair feels moisturized after each use. I have no qualms with any of the Silk Elements line. All of the products I have used in thier line are pretty good. From the heat protector to the poo and condish...these will always be my staples.

2. Neutrogena Wave

I have been looking for a good facial cleaner. I will not cough up the dough for Clarisonic, no no. I may purchase the new facial cleansing system from Sigma for $40.00, until then I adore my little wave. I picked this up to up the ante on my skincare routine. After using it, my skin feels more cleaner than using my hands. I regularly wash my hands with my medicated cleanser and then follow up with the wave and the attached cleansing pad for a deeper clean. This was only $15.00.

3. Black Radiance

I meant to do a review on this, but here goes a quickie! Its been hot this summer, so when I use this I mix a bit of it with my moisturizer to make a tinted moisturizer and set it with my mineralized powder. This foundation doesn't come with a pump but it is equipped with a stick to can scoop it out. Some may like that and some may not, it doesn't bother me. Black Radiance caters to women of color. I was able to find my shade Buterscotch (love that name!) and it was $5.99.

4. Nuxe Hule Prodigieuse Multi Usage Dry Oil

I got this sample size in my July Birchbox, which I love. It repairs, nourishes, and softens and you can use it for just about anything, body, face, hair. I take a few drops and moisturize it on my face on a quick and out the door day of no makeup. It truly keeps my face moisturized and not greasy at all. The full bottle is pretty pricey, but this little bottle has lasted almost a month, yet I do use it sparingly.

5. CoverGirl Queen Collection Lip Perfection Lipstick in Classy Coral

I have been reaching for this month all month. I have been wearing a semi naked eye (only mascara), a bit of blush, bronzer, and a bold lip and this coral is perfection! Swatch below.

6. Revlon SuperLustrous Lipstick in Berry Haute

Gorgeous...gorgeous purple lip. I do the same thing as stated above, but have been going back and forth between the coral and purple lip...Purple is perfection! This line of lipsticks is divine! Swatch below.
